Michael Keating: Deputy Prime Minister thank you for joining inside Canberra, and you’ve had quite a victory over the last day. You’ve only been in the leadership since February but now you’ve already added to the ranks of the National Party. Tell us how did you come to have a new Senator from Tasmania in your ranks. Deputy Prime Minister Michael McCormack: Well it’s actually not my victory it’s actually a victory for Tasmanians because they’ve now got another voice particularly another original voice in the government. So I don’t know do they have a voice in the National Party also in the coalition but in the government, so they’ve got Senator Steve Martin there now able to go in there and bang the table and talk about delivery talk about outcomes for regional Tasmanians. That’s something that Tasmanians haven’t had for years and that is a voice in the Federal National Party, party room of course it was the Country Party way back in the s but not since Sir William McWilliams and we had two other lower house representatives we’ve never had an upper house member from Tasmania, so I’m of course very excited about that…
